Benefits of Roller Skating
Roller skating involves all major muscle groups, including your heart. With similar health benefits and calorie consumption to jogging, skating burns between 350 and 600 calories per hour depending on your weight and exertion level, but with considerably less impact shock to your body, according to research published in “Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise.” Also, roller skating is fast-paced and exciting, providing a challenging balance dimension to your workout, requiring your body to move in unexpected ways that stimulate different muscles and heighten your athletic abilities.
My children and I came on Saturday to celebrate my 41st birthday and I had a ball. I had forgotten just how much fun skating it could be. I had not skated since I was a little girl. The staff at Sparkles from the usher to the manager was so polite and helpful. The referees were always making sure every skater was safe. The bathrooms were clean and not smelly. I even had help getting toilet tissue off my skates from an employees. I like the many programs and specials you have to skate as well as food being available for your customers.
I tired my boogers out. I would post and even remind the little skaters when they visit to remember they are not the only ones on the rink. Do not cut in front of the other moving skaters, pay more attention to who is coming around the corner or behind them. Skate for everyone and not just themselves. Thank you so much again.
